Spam

I am getting very fed up with the amount of spam that is getting through the filter to my ntlworld.com email address. apparently I have won a prize from Aldi, a Samsung 20 and an iPhone. not that I ever entered any competition with these companies. the senders have different names but the one thing in common is that they all end in .eu. I have blacklisted the senders and moved the emails to spam. I was just wondering if there is anything that VM can do to update the spam filter. if not I will seriously consider closing this email address as I very rarely use it, it is not the one I use when I register with companies for an on-line account.

Re: Spam

Not the only one, since virgin media did something to the emails I’ve been inundated with spam.  It’s like their filter is only working at half pace.

Re: Spam

You could look at the solution suggested by a contributor in the thread 'Phishing'. Following the advice to insert a regex, a filter in webmail, I hope to divert all e-mails from .eu addresses to the junk box. All my junk of the nature mentioned comes from '.eu' addresses. My filter has not been tested as yet because as soon as it was inserted, the offending .eu junk stopped.

Re: Spam

Well the filter was working, but today when checking the email virgin media have removed filters within the settings of webmail????  So some spam has got through again.

Re: Spam

Thanks for the update.

Can we please confirm if you were able to add the rule again for this?

Apologies to hear this was somehow removed.

Thanks, Emily.

Re: Spam

Didn’t need to re-add, the filter rules have appeared again today and the filter for the new spam is working 👍
