Settings for Outlook for Android not accepted

I've tried and tried but cannot get Outlook App on Android to accept my VM credentials.

I've tried other app and had no luck.  Each time the App says my Username or Password are incorrect.  I am 100% certain that they are not because I use them to log into the Web view.

Any ideas?

Re: Settings for Outlook for Android not accepted

Hi trophycliipp,

Welcome to our Community Forum and thanks for posting.

Can you visit this link and see if you can log in or reset your password? I know you're wanting to use Outlook but we need to see whether there is an issue with the email account first.

If you can't please tell us what error message you see and on which section.

Thanks,

Lisa

Re: Settings for Outlook for Android not accepted

Hi Lisa

Password changed and it worked fine.

A little horrified that this forum's password criteria are stronger than the main virgin account though!

Re: Settings for Outlook for Android not accepted

Hi,

I am also having problems signing into my VM email account from Outlook on Android. It's an old ntlworld account - although that should not matter.

Used the link posted above and can sign in OK there. Password is OK.

imap incoming server = imap.virginmedia.com:993

smtp outgoing server = smtp.virginmedia.com:465

Appreciate any pointers.

Thanks, Mike
