Hi folks. I’m trying to set up a new email address on my account. I opened my emails went into folders and clicked on Add an email account. It takes me to a box with two bars, your email address and the second bar is your password. When I enter the details into the boxes and click Add I get a message saying auto configuration failed. Can anyone tell me how to set up a new email please. I could go to Google but would rather keep them all in the one place. I did notice in the forum that there is a list of available addresses but that never came up. Thanks.

Hi @RayDHK
Thanks for your reply and my apologies for the inconvenience.
The ability to set up a new email address has been removed unfortunately, I do apologise for any further inconvenience this may cause.

I did not receive any communications about VM stopping the ability to create new email address and delete old ones.
With the email addresses that I have with VM how do I know what they are and how to I change passwords. I also want to delete one of the ones that I created just a few weeks ago.

You've forgotten what email addresses you have?
If you log into your MyVirginmedia account you will find them listed.

@NinjaMeerkat The changes that VM made in May 2022 were only notified via the VM help pages.
If you want to delete a secondary account attached to your primary VM account you can still do this. Log into your primary My VM account and click on Update Settings > Account details then scroll down the page to Manage other My Virgin Media accounts. The next page will show any secondary accounts that are attached to your account with an option to delete any you no longer want.
To change the password for secondary accounts you need to sign out of the primary account and then log into the My Virgin Media account for the secondary account using the email address and current password. You then click on Update Settings > Account details and scroll down to password and click on edit.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Please read the FAQs
