Using a virgin media address have had to try several times to send an email, usually my account not recognised then after swearing and retries it works and appears in my sent box. @virginmedia address using primary user name not alias.

Can I ask how you are accessing your email account? Is this via webmail or another email client?
Does this happen on all emails you are trying to send?
Have you recently changed or updated your password?

Seems to working now. Using mail app on an iPad mini.
