Hi,
Im new to the community.
I have just sent an email from my virgin media email address on an android phone with an attachment.
The sent email show the attachment as a .bin file.
When i send the file to an IOS phone to a gmail address the file opens up correctly.
Can anyone shed some light on to why this is happening?
Thanks
Andy

Hi @Andy7676
Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.
Can you save the file again on your device, make sure there's no mistakes in the file name like spaces or incompatible characters (@#~?&) Then try resending the file via email.
If the email still comes up as a .bin file on certain devices, please let us know what those devices are.
Please could you let us know what program you're using to create the file? Do the receiving devices also have the program in order to open it? Say if it's a PDF file, you still need PDF on your receiving device to open it.
Best,
