SMTP not working

I have been without the ability to send emails since Monday on any of my three email addresses which are both ntlworld and virginmedia.

i spoke to support who said it would be fixed by today. It still isn't and i am also having the same issue on my phone so it is not just my computer.

 

any help please.

So, now it's Monday and i still have no working emails. I can receive them which meant i got the email from Virgin asking me to fill in the survey from my last communication. (I am sure it will just get deleted..)

I would send them an email myself, but oh the irony....

Web mail has been working and the thread I referred you to contains details of a "hack" which you can use temporarily to restore send functionality. And - yes - the issue with the servers continues.

Thanks for this but the hack does not work so i will have to stick to using webmail which is not ideal on my phone. Thanks though

has anyone been able to fix this as nothing other than webmail is able to send any email notification. as example, my home cctv does not send any email alerts anymore. surely there must be a proper smtp fix..
