SMTP Error

I have received the following 'error message' multiple times when sending an email to a Group [some of whom are new contacts] - It is simply a message re the opening of a Bridge Club!

    host mx.tb.ukmail.iss.as9143.net [212.54.56.11]

    Delay reason: SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:

    421 4.2.0 MXIN618 Temporary SMC Policy Violation detected, retry later ;id=tFlLl2WLCFBL3tFlMlKnT1;sid=tFlLl2WLCFBL3;mta=mx6.tb;dt=2021-06-15T22:34:22+02:00;ipsrc=146.66.121.60;

It has happened to about 6 addresses out of 76!

Re: SMTP Error

Morning @AngieVerve

Welcome to the forum page and thanks for posting this on here.

What email are you using this from eg: ntlworld, blueyonder, gmail?

Does the email send when you send it individually or does it just occur when you send it as a group?

What happens when you try to resend the whole email again, does the error message still occur?

Thanks

Sasha - Forum Team

Re: SMTP Error

Hi,

My email address is [MOD EDIT: REMOVED]

Error only occured with specific emails sent in a group:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 24 hours on the queue on se20.mailspamprotection.com.

The message identifier is:     1lt9Ok-0003t6-Lg

The date of the message is:    Tue, 15 Jun 2021 14:46:32 +0100

The subject of the message is: Fwd: Rottingdean Bridge Club - reopening

The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:

[MOD EDIT: REMOVED]

    host mx.tb.ukmail.iss.as9143.net [212.54.56.11]

    Delay reason: SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO: [MOD EDIT: REMOVED]

    452 4.1.1 [MOD EDIT: REMOVED] requested action aborted:

    try again later; info=tWUilNxosA3xl;mx4.tb;202106161626;146.66.121.164;

No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

Eventually [after 3 days!] message has been delivered.

Re: SMTP Error

Hello

Please do post personal email addresses in your posts as this against the forum rules as well as opening you up to spam.

Re: SMTP Error

@AngieVerve

By posting your email address on the internet you have made it available to the many spambots that search endlessly for email addresses. As a result, be prepared for it to receive lots of spam emails.

I have asked the forum moderators to redact your address from your post.

However, for the benefit of  @Sasha_W  and the rest of the Forum Team I would just advise that I have noticed that @AngleVerve's email address is presumably a personal domain email address ending in @verveeurope.co.uk.

Re: SMTP Error

Thanks Angie,

Please do not post any personal information on here unless it is a private message for your own safety, however thanks for keeping me informed on this.

This error occurs as you are trying to send too many emails at once and so it recognises it as spam.

It is best to send it half the amount or to send it individually to prevent this from occurring.

Thanks

Re: SMTP Error

@Sasha_W

To be frank I'm not happy with the response here.  These are third parties sending your customers emails.

I think this needs looking into further.

Re: SMTP Error

Apologies for the delays in getting back to you AngieVerve, did reducing the number of emails sent at once help resolve the issue?
