Rejected email

I have had a few recent emails rejected from postmaster @virginmedia.nl rather than postmaster @virginmedia.com.  Is this suspicious?

Re: Rejected email

I'd be interested in seeing the headers of the rejection messages. (please obscure the part of any legitimate email addresses before the @ symbol)

I'm going to do some asking in the background on this one.  But seeing the headers would definitely tell me more.  As would seeing the rejection message.

Re: Rejected email

If this is what you mean by the header then the only difference is that the older ones are from virginmedia.com

Is this what you need?Is this what you need?

Re: Rejected email

If you click the menu icon (3 lines) on the mail itself and then click view source.  That will show you the mail headers.

And you're right to wonder about virginmedia.nl  However a check shows that the domain is owned by Liberty Global (Virgin Media's parent company).

I'm hoping that the @ModTeam can get someone to escalate this for investigation.

Here's an example from a legitimate bounce:

Edit - On the face of it the screenshot seems to show a legitimate bounce the only unusual thing being the virginmedia.nl address.

Re: Rejected email

Hi Rfelley,

Thanks for your post on the community.

We would need the full mail headers from these bounce emails in order to escalate this to our team for more information.

If you could send these over in the private message to the 'Mod Team' account we can take it from there.

Thanks

Mod Team
