emailselections......
Question but if you do not know the answer, please do not speculate.
Back in the days of DOS & Windows 3.1 the wild card symbol used to be the asterisk... *.
Question....Does the wildcard, the asterisk, still work with Win 10? I ask this because in my mail filter I use this wildcard in front of emailselections,
i.e. *emailselections, to send anything containing this term direct to my deleted folder.
Problem is that it doesnot allways seem to work.
So is the asterisk still the current wildcard?
Regards
Tony

Wildcard character has no special meaning in a Contains condition, remove the asterisks around emailselections

Yes, asterisk represents the wildcard character when used with the appropriate webmail filter Condition , i.e. Matches, however it seems webmail now rewrites those conditions, for example:
Conditions | Rewritten as |
Matches: emailselections* | Starts with: emailselections |
Matches: *emailselections | Ends with: emailselections |
Are you able to provide a screenshot of your filter rule with an example

Dear Very Insightful Person,
I think that I have tried this but I'll do a brand new message rule & see how it works out.
Usually get a few from them over a couple of days so I'll be able to check its' effectiveness soon.

Dear very insightful person.
So far so good. Taking out the wildcard has 'SO FAR' worked. Thanks
