I'm getting the same issue atm.
I access my NTL world email address via thunderbird using the publicly listed imap config.
Now its prompting me for my password. I input the password and it doesn't connect.
When trying to login to the Virgin Media account I do not see an area to manage my email account. Can you confirm whether there is an outage?
There isn't a current outage afaik.
Sign in to My Virgin Media with the email address concerned and current password.
Click on Account details then Account settings and scroll down to the password section. Click on edit to change the password.
