I have been trying to move email addresses from a closed account to my new account.

Customer Care say it has been done.

How do I check that it has been successful?

There was a lot of confusion on the telephone as to whether was possible.

If you wait on here the Forum Team should be able to check the email addresses are correctly linked to your account.

You can also try checking yourself to see if they are properly linked now.  Sign in to myvirginmedia - the billing area.  Then look on the my profile area.  Your addresses should show on the my profile and manage accounts tabs.  The primary address is shown in My services (you need to scroll down).  If in doubt, the Forum Team can re-assure you!

There is nothing showing at the moment.

Hey longhorg,

 

When did you arrange for this to be done? There would usually be a 5 day SLA period before this will be completed. The team may have been referring to that the ticket had been logged but the work not yet completed.

Thanks for your reply.

I only requested the transfer this morning.

There was no mention of a ticket during the phone call.

I guess I was impatient for the change to happen after being transferred to various departments and waiting on the phone for over an hour.

I'll keep checking my online account and post again if nothing shows during this week.

Yes the team should have explained that you on the call longhorg, so I apologise that they didn't. We do have to log any mail changes with our IT team and usually modifying mail address takes about 5 days to complete it maybe done sooner but it should be done within 5 days of this being logged. 

 

Please let me know if this hasn't been done during the week and I can get this looked into further.
