When did you arrange for this to be done? There would usually be a 5 day SLA period before this will be completed. The team may have been referring to that the ticket had been logged but the work not yet completed.
Yes the team should have explained that you on the call longhorg, so I apologise that they didn't. We do have to log any mail changes with our IT team and usually modifying mail address takes about 5 days to complete it maybe done sooner but it should be done within 5 days of this being logged.
