Problems with email settings for secondary account

Good evening,

I've set up a new email account 

Account Name: My Account Name

Your Name: My Name

E-mail address newaccountname@virginmedia.com

 

Incoming Server

Server Type IMAP

Server Name: imap.virginmedia.com

Connection Security: SSL/TLS

Server Port: 993

Username: [The name that I use to log into Virgin Media]

Password: [The password that I use to log into Virgin Media]

 

Outgoing Server (SMTP)

Server name: sntp.virginmedia.com

Connection Security: SSL/TLS

Server Port: 465

Authentication: As incoming e-mail server

User name: [The username name that I use to log into Virgin Media]

Password: [The password that I use to log into Virgin Media]

However, when I try to save these details, I keep getting

"Validation of server imap.virginmedia.com failed due to invalid credentials"

Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to what I'm doing wrong?

The username and password for the secondary account will be whatever you set them to be.  They will not be the same as your primary username and password as implied by your post.

Also the outgoing settings needs to be SMTP not Sntp.
