In addition to the advice from DJ_Shadow1966 I would just add:
if you have used the VM webmail service on your previous device to check emails in that secondary account it would be worth checking to see if the password is stored in the browser on that device.
Do an online search "find stored passwords in chrome" (or which ever browser you use) for a step by step guide.
