Password incorrect

for about the last month my ipad is not recognising my password. I can receive and send emails on my iphone and desk top ,but nothing on my ipad. Could the problem be with Apple and the ipad and my email address works on both my other devices.

would be grateful for any help

While the ipad is telling you the password is the problem, it might not be, as the apple mail system doesn't always interpret the EXACT reason to match the VM situation.

I suggest you delete the email account from your iPad and set it up again being sure to use the correct current settings.  Older operating systems on older ipads may need a little assistance, so read the second link if you don't get there the first try!.  And come back to us, the community has lots of experience and can help you.

Another tip might be to change your password in VM, then use the new password in all your devices/clients.  The forced password change might clear any problems.  https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-reset-username-and-password
