I've just bought a Redmi Note 9 Pro phone with Gmail app and want to set up my Virgin email as a POP3 account, so that emails deleted on my phone will not delete from my PC, which is set up as IMAP.
I've checked the settings on Virgin website but I keep getting a message that it can't connect to the server.
It connects fine as an IMAP account.
I've previously used Samsung phones for a number of years and never had an issue with them.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Are you using the POP settings detailed here, How do I update my Virgin Media Mail settings on an Android device?

Yes, but not by selecting my deice - it's not listed - but by setting up manually.
I just found a way round it this afternoon by using a different email app (Outlook) and that set up as POP3 no problem.
So must be something to do with the pre-installed app rather than the phone.
You are likely right. Good to read that you managed to solve the problem.
Yeah, it was getting a little frustrating!
Thanks for the suggestion though
