Hello

Can you still login too https://my.virginmedia.com/my-apps/email/mailbox

Are you still a virginmedia broadband account holder, as if you are not then the email address should have been deleted 1 year after the dial up service was transferred to talktalk, to be able to use a VM email address you have to have VM broadband as well.

Do you use multiple device to check you emails as POP will only every show on the first device that access the email.

Check that you settings at https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-mail-update-settings-in-microsoft-outlook

So I followed those tips and changed the port to 995 wt SSL and that seems to work.

Thank you

Using the POP3 protocol will allow email messages to download to multiple devices, as long as the email client is configured to Leave a copy of messages on the server.

The non standard POP3 behaviour of the Virgin Media email service should also be noted.
https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/POP3-Behaviour/td-p/2994032

" deleting emails in an email client using POP3 doesn’t delete the emails from the server, but hides them from the client and so may be viewed when accessing the mailbox using webmail".

Re: Outlook 2010 not receiving virgin.net with AVAST PREMIUM SECURITY

So what if I were to ditch Outlook 2010 and use the latest Thunderbird mail client instead - what are the settings for Thunderbird please? (Download and keep emails locally)?

Thank you

Paul
