Hi @lisajgodfrey,
Welcome to our Community Forums! Thank you for your first post and I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your outgoing emails!
Are you able to access your email account without any issues after resetting your password? Are you able to receive emails?
Have you tried to close down the page and re-load it to see if you'll get the same error again?
Please let us know so we can look into this further.
Thank you.

I can access emails now password reset but I can’t send them on wifi, only on my phone data or virgin web email directly.

Im starting to think this is a VM Problem. I'm having the exact same problem. No problem receiving but asks for password when sending.
This has only just started happening, I haven't changed anything beforehand.

It would be helpful to see what, if any, error code is returned by the SMTP server in this situation. Open a Command Shell window and enter the following where username:password is replaced with your email address and password, i.e. richard.branson@virginmedia.com:Y54kpX5g:
curl -v smtps://smtp.virginmedia.com -u username:password
Do not post the resulting output here but instead review it for possible reported causes and then post just the redacted part here or the VM error code.

Hi @lisajgodfrey,
Thank you for offering an update on this. I'm glad to hear that things have improved for you, though it's strange to hear that they're failing to send via Wi-Fi.
I can see that @用心棒 has offered some advice on getting some more information. Let us know if that helps. It'd be great to know exactly what happens when you attempt to send an email via Wi-Fi so that we can advise further.
Thanks,
