Outgoing message SPAM Content Found (VM603)

Unable to reply to various emails due to this error. Seen numerous comments from last year but no real solutions. Various impractical "work-arounds". Is there a problem at Virgin mail? Is there a REAL fix? Can anyone help, please?

Re: Outgoing message SPAM Content Found (VM603)

I'm getting it myself while trying to report a Spam mail supposedly from Amazon.  Virgin allowed the email in but not for me to report it. 🤔

Re: Outgoing message SPAM Content Found (VM603)

Hi JonNix

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

My apologies for the delayed reply.

Frequent updates to the matching data used by spam filters is likely to be responsible for this and will hopefully clear itself in 6, 12, or 24 hours.

Alternately identifying the cause yourself may allow a temporary workaround to be found. To do this:

  • sign into webmail
  • setup the problem email and put your own email address in the To field
  • highlight half of the email content and Cut (Ctrl + X)
  • select Send
  • if the send fails with a Spam Content error then repeat step 3
  • otherwise select 2019-02-22.jpeg, select the email sent in step 4 from the Spam folder, select Reply to Sender and repeat step 3

Kind regards,
