Since afternoon of the 9th of September I have been unable to send emails from my account using either Outlook or gmail (incoming mail is no problem). I have followed the various threads including the problem logging advice on Outlook and changing my email account password, all to no avail.
When trying to send mail I get countless pop up boxes asking for name and password but the messages never send. When checking the settings and account using Outlook Manager I get thismessage "Send test email message: Your email server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings."
In the Outlook log I get the message "525 5.7.13 Authentication Denied (VM305)"
I have changed my passwork, checked all the smtp setting are correct yet still no meesages can be sent. I can access my email (incoming and sending) via the Virginmedia site using the new password so I know that works.
