@seandodwell1 As you have identified this as an orphaned account, I suspect that you already realise this isn't going to be possible.
But to be sure can you confirm if you have a current VM broadband account and that the virgin.net email address concerned is either the primary account or a secondary account connected to the VM broadband account?
If not then there is nothing that the VM staff can do to reactivate the email address.

if the email address is sill active and not been deleted. If its been deleted it can't be recovered...
vm might be able to do a move and transfer to move the old account to the new one. THis has some conditions 1) both the old and new accounts must be in the same name. 2) you must be able to pass security on both accounts 3) All email addresses on the current account will be lost and replaced with the emails from the old account ( you can't merge and keep both)
