Old blueyonder account hacked!

Hi,

I left virginmedia 8 months ago and was told my old email address would be deleted.  It has since been hacked (and password changed) and i am getting threatening messages from it on my phone asking for money and saying they will send nasty pictures to all my contacts.  They have also started logging into sites such as Uber.  I was told it would be deleted after a month and am now very concerned.  What do I do???
