Old blue yonder email

Hi I found a thread regarding someone that had had an old blue yonder email account hacked. The same has happened to me. Can someone help me to close down this email. I haven't used it for years but it is linked to a Microsoft email account I know use. I am no longer a virgin media customer so don't have an account to log into.
