OUTLOOK 2021 & VIRGIN E-MAIL SETTINGS

Hi

Yesterday I switched from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2021. I can't get my e-mail to send or receive. Got 2 accounts on this pc and my wife's e-mail is working fine. I've changed the password in Virgin E-mail and changed to the same password in Outlook. I've tried the repair function in Outlook but the password prompt box keeps appearing. Settings are smtp.virginmedia.com and my user name which is the first part of the e-mail address. My e-mail address still uses the old ntlworld.com.

Can anyone help or suggest how to fix this?

Much obliged.

One thing that immediately stands out from your post is the bit I have emboldened above.  The username needs to be the full email address including the @ntlworld.com bit.
