I have 3 ntlworld email accounts where the smtp protocol is not working, I cannot reply or send emails.
I can receive emails via imap but not send any, I have played about with the setting using port 465 for smtp and port 993 with imap.
I have an outlook email address which works without any problems, I even tried sending an email using an anonymous proxy with HMA VPN without success.
Concusion this has to be a problem with the virginmedia server.

Are you able to send and receive emails through webmail.
And is this just specific to our wifi or does it happen on a different network as well
Do you get an error message beginning with VM then 3 digits
As I had already stated, this was a Virgin Media smtp issue which cleared itself up 3 days later.
