Not getting or delayed emails from supermarket

Until recently I got confirmation of order emails etc from Sainsburys within minutes but over the last two weeks they have either not come at all or today I received one dated 19th February. I've checked my email address is correct on my account and they can't be blocked as I did get an email today. I also use Ocado and their emails have come through straightaway.                                                    Any help much appreciated as am waiting for several emails to confirm changes.

I'm having the same problem. Some emails from Sainsbury are unaffected, but the 'order confirmation' ones are arriving up to two days after they were sent. This has been happening for about two weeks now. Sounds like the same problem that Steve_1953 is having - see "Excessive delays receiving emails" post.

Thank you for your post. I'm very sorry to hear about the issues you've been having with your email address. 

Can you confirm the device the email address is signed in on?

Can you confirm the login you're using for the address? I.e Outlook, etc.

The device I mainly use is my mobile but it's exactly the same on my laptop. I sign in with my ntlworld account. Have no problems with anything else just Sainsburys and started about a week ago. I did update my shop earlier today and got a confirmation several hours later. I just can't understand why there is suddenly a delay as it's been fine for years.

I was flagging a thread with a similar issue - It looks as if your Mail exchangers are rejecting initial connections in some cases for a number of days.

@AnnaT Can you go into Webmail using you laptop and on one of the affected mails click the menu button and then show original.

Note:  I'm no longer a Virgin Media customer (through circumstances, not choice)  So your list of servers will not be the same as mine.  This will help determine where the problem lies though.
