I have tried to reset my Virgin email password - it won’t accept any passwords to change it to, so it has not been changed, but it will not accept my old password either so I am locked out.
Just to clarify, what do you mean when you say "it" won't accept any passwords......:was it :
- that you could not access the "My Virgin Media" account for the email address to reset the password? If so check the instructions at the end of this post.
- that you could reach the place to enter a new password but the VM system was reporting the error "you cannot use this password" to any new passwords that you entered?
Just in case you are not aware, here's VM's advice on how to reset the password on an VM email account:
Sign into the "My Virgin Media" account for that email address from this link https://my.virginmedia.com/home/signIn using your VM email address and existing password.
Once you have signed in click on the "Account settings" tab and then the "Account details" tab. Scroll down that page and you will see a place to edit the password. Change the password to one you have never used before and then sign out. Then leave it at least 30 minutes before trying to access the email account
