No access to Virgin.net email address

I’m sorry I know this has been asked but I need someone from VM to help me out.

 

I have an old email address, a virgin.net one, which I’ve had for years. I then left virgin and have since returned. I have two virgin addresses, a virgin.net one which I use extensively and a virgin media one which I don’t really use but is registered on the Broadband account.

 

in the last 48 hours the virgin.net account has stopped working, both on my iPhone/client apps and through webmail. It says the username and password are wrong, even on webmail. Can anyone from Vm help me??

Hello

Is the virgin.net account attached to your account you can check this here https://my.virginmedia.com/my-profile/listUsers

If it isn't then it looks like it has been marked as an orphaned account and in that case it has more than likely been deleted. if it has been deleted then I am afraid it cannot be re-instated.

No, the old account is not linked.

I really hope they haven’t deleted it, I’d be gutted lol!

I was using IMAP but I tried pop3 earlier and webmail with no luck

If you were using IMAP then it rules out an issue caused by an apparent update to VM's POP3 servers.
