Need to delete legacy email

Hi there, after months of ringing Virgin, using the chat, and emailing I am getting absolutely no where despite being promised its been resolved. The staff do not really understand what I'm asking them to do.

I need to have my old ntlworld email closed down. Virgin blocked use of it without warning despite stating online they give 90 days notice.

The fact it is however, it is not closed fully at Virgin's end and is still receiving emails from companies. I need the email address deleting fully as I am being prevented from resetting a password with a service provider and am open to compromise if hacked.

Please could Virgin IT Dept help me sort this?

Assuming the email account is no longer attached to a live VM  broadband band account, one of the Forum Team, (VM staff who support this forum) can arrange to get the email account deleted for you.

They will get to your post in the next day or so and contact you via this forum thread. They will then take the details via the forum's Private Message facility. The full deletion then seems to take a few days,

"Virgin blocked use of it without warning despite stating online they give 90 days notice."

What VM actually say is that 90 days after a VM broadband account is closed VM will delete all email accounts linked to it. In fact VM are often very lax about doing that . They never give any notice before the actual  deletion takes place.

As advised - it may take up to 5 days to get this done, with some extra time due to new years.
