NTLWORLD Email account is disabled

My NTLWORLD email account is showing an incoming server error: NO authentication failed. I can send but not receive EMails on this account.

Hello PhilM2, welcome to the community.  We need a little information and then we can suggest some self-help ideas.  If that does not help, then you may need the Forum Team to look at your details in the VM system.  

  • Are you a current VM residential broadband customer?
  • Is the email address linked to your billing account (look in myvirginmedia, my profile/my services OR manage accounts tab)
  • Can you send AND receive when using webmail - if not tell us what error message you get?  https://my.virginmedia.com/my-apps/email/mailbox
  • What email client are you using?
  • Have you tried changing your password in myvirginmedia, then changing it in the client?
  • Please check the client is using the recommended server settings - you may need to delete and recreate the account depending on the client. So make a backup before you get started.

Thanks for your help. I changed my password on the VM site and it is now fine.
