Try: Sign in to My Virgin Media, go to My Profile and/or Manage Accounts depending on whether the account concerned is your primary account or an additional one. Select the account concerned and then click on Change to the right of password if a primary account or View/Change then change to the right of password for secondary accounts.
I did try that, it needs a virgin mobile number and my mobile number is with a different provider. It won't take my mobile number.

If it is asking for a Virgin mobile number you have gone to the wrong page. Make sure you select the forgotten broadband account password page and enter the email address concerned. You will be asked to answer security questions or provide account details including your most recent bill.
