This is similar many other posts - I can't access my mailbox from the VM website - have tried for days (ie not an Outlook problem I think.) VM hopeless at responding. Can anyone help with suggestions or flagging it up with Virgin for me - they will probably take more notice of you than me.
Go to My Virginmedia (which will work with your email address and password) and change the password for the account. The wait here for a VM staff member to assist you with unlocking the mailbox They are usually pretty quick.
