Hi, sine this morning my mailbox has become unavailable and I'm being prompted for my password. This hasn't changed so not sure if there is a central issue or not. Entering password does not work and don't want to reset it if there is a wide spread issue.
UPDATE: Reset password has now worked.

It had the same issue. I eventually got through to someone at VM on the phone and rather oddly, had to have my password reset - although the account hadn't been hacked and the account was still active. This 'mailbox unavailable' error appears to be happening to other ntlworld accounts and apparently can only be fixed by VM advisors resetting the password. As ntlworld is from a legacy system, I guess their techies are doing something with them.
