Mailbox Full

Hi all

I use my old ntlworld email address for a lot of my work stuff and usually access it via desktop outlook on my PC.

I also sign into webmail every day and check the spam filter.

Now every so often I will delete loads of older and non essential emails to keep my mailbox at around or less than 50% full.

The mail quota has always shown as 60gb

This morning it suddenly said it 100 % full.

I called Virgin and was told that nothing had changed although he couldn't tell me my mailbox size it "definitely hadn't been reduced"

I have now deleted 4 years in total of ALL old emails and it has given me a message to say it isn't full but mysteriously the quota is now 25gb

Question is has the mailbox size been reduced?

Re: Mailbox size

Hello

I have looked back and I can see that the 25G limit has been there since at least May 2019.

Re: Mailbox size

Mailbox size of 25Gb has been there since VM switched to its in-house email system in 2015.

Re: Mailbox size

I just looked, mine is perfectly normal. Just a glitch?

Edit - I'll think again. Just seen another post about the same issue.

Re: Mailbox size

This happened to me today too - so strange and without any warning. Spent ages deleting old emails, so it's working ok now.

Mailbox full

Hi

Yesterday afternoon my email suddenly stopped receiving messages and states that the mailbox is 100% full, despite not having received any prior warning.

I have since deleted a lot of old emails but this has not made any difference.  Is there some setting that has changed or is it just a case of having to delete most of my emails before I can use it again?

Thanks

Re: Email mailbox full so wont receive/send

Hello

You will need to sign into webmail and clear out your emails as only 25Gb of emails can be stored https://my.virginmedia.com/my-apps/email/mailbox.
