I used to have a blueyonder account that was spoofed and the vanished. I need to access a Drobox backup that had it as my contact. I've forgotten my Dropbox password but can't change t as I don't have access to the blueyonder address. Suggestions please!

If you still have a Virginmedia broadband account that the email account was attached to, a VM staff person may be able to help you here.  If not, I'm afraid the email has gone

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Well they weren't any use whatsoever at the time. I'm not too worried now about getting the account back but find that I still have apps that use the address. Now that my old PC has failed, I can't change the password and keep them alive. In particular, my backup on Dropbox.

Hi RogerHitchin,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear you no longer have access to your Blue yonder mailbox, are you still a Virgin Media customer and is the account the one associated with the emails address?

Regards

Paul.

Hey @RogerHitchin,

Thanks for confirming this, if the account is still active, all you would likely need to do is follow the forgotten password option via our website, this would then proceed to to go about resetting this password with you to gain access.

On our wavelength

Hi

if the issue is anything like mine has been that won’t work

I needed one of your IT technicians to walk me through allocating a new username to an email address where the reset password wouldn’t work, link it to a third party email address and then use the password app generator and then they gave me a new temporary password

but now I can’t access one of my blueyonder emails

It took logging an IT technical ticket, and then a wait for resolution

Hi wodsy69.

Thanks for posting on our community forums. We're sorry to hear that you're still unable to access your Blueyonder emails.

Remotely looking form our end, we can see that your IT ticket has been assigned and it being looked into for a resolution. We advise between 5-7 working days for a resolution to this issue.

We do appreciate your patience whilst we get this matter investigated for you.

Kind regards Jodi.
