I closed Virgin media account as I moved house . I accessed my NTL emails for 6 months with no problem , however suddenly it no longer recognises account and I cannot access . Is there any way I can get old messages ?
Thanks

Lindsay

Your email account should be deleted within 90 days of leaving but VM are not very efficient at doing this. Every so often they have a clear out and close down old accounts.

You can only regain temporary access by the good will of VM and if the VM forum team can facilitate that.

Even then the access is only reinstated for a short time to rescue important contacts and info from the account.

While you are waiting for a reply from the VM forum team this archive post (2017) might be useful to you

Check the relevant software mentioned for any updated information.

One of the VM forum team will reply here within a few days.

Hi @Lindsayjones,

Thanks for your post, and a warm welcome to our Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble accessing your email now you have left. The information provided by @goslow is correct, and we do aim to delete emails after 90 days of leaving us, however, this doesn't always happen.

We can definitely look into whether the mailbox is retrievable for you. Please look out for my private message in the top-right, in the purple envelope.

Cheers,

Reece - Forum Team
