Login - can't remember password

Hi 

I can’t remember my password to login to virgin media. But when I try to reset it doesn’t recognise my email or account details. 
Yet if I try to make a new account it recognises my password. I have true to call but it’s impossible to get through to anyone on the phone anymore which quite frankly is shocking.
