IP address is blacklisted

IP address is blacklisted  unable to send emails. No help to resolve from Virgin Media in 4 weeks

When you say your IP address is blacklisted, do you mean that it is on the spamhaus blocklist SBL/CSS?  You can check that here:  https://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/  If so, it is not Virgin Media's responsibility to clear the snowshoe spambots off your network.

Our community (in particular the VIP ravenstar68) have come up with a way of doing it, though:  https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Security-matters/Searching-for-Spambots-on-your-network/td-p/40...

In the meantime, you should be able to send if you use webmail.  To use an email client, try using a data connection instead of your home broadband, or if you go away from your home broadband - at work or public wifi.  But don't delay finding the spambot - who knows what other malware has been installed on your network!

Thank you for your quick response, 

I've no idea what I'm doing and relying on others to help.

I will pass on the information to someone more tech savvy and see if they can sort it out
