Those post RS's should not be increasing like that.  I'm leaning towards your problems are in fact down to this and the IMAP troubles are only a symptom.

Certainly you need your connection looking at before we can troubleshoot the mail connection from your property properly.

@ModTeam @Kev_B - Can we ask that someone take a look at this - starting from the network connection issue and then we can move back to the email once this is done.

@aidanh Please Note: I'm not taking this thread off topic with the intent of derailing it.  It's just common sense to get the network connection issue sorted first.  Post RS errors cause dropped packets, while TCP does try and resend these dropped packets, if the resent packets get dropped then the connection will fail.

@ModTeam 

Can we get someone to look at this again please?  Now we've resolved the issue with the connection at the posters end, we have to turn our minds to what's happening at the other end of the connection.  I'm wondering if this would be an ACL issue.  Certainly there doesn't appear to be a problem with the tracert otherwise although I would ask that @aidanh reposts one now that the connection is "resolved'"/
