I need to delete my old @Virgin.net Account please

Like a lot of post I am seeing I have received a message stating my account has been hacked which even includes my password.

I can still access the account and still receive a few emails to it but now is the time to get rid.

Please could someone advise on a definite process for requesting the acccount to be discontinued.  Of the post I have seen so far there is no instruction on how to remove the account yoruself and nothing within the online account that allows me to select "Delete" or "Remove"

Appreciate any help that can be given.
