I've been having email problems long term (about which I've posted before), and I think (and hope) they're almost sorted out now, thanks to help from someone at Virgin Media. But I'm still getting error messages telling me that "the provided login data to access email server imap4.blueyonder.co.uk seems to be wrong. Please correct them". This problem still needs to be addressed. I think it's to do with not having the right settings.
Also I do need to make some small changes to some of my secondary email accounts (and some of them are non-Virgin Media accounts). Because of this, the person at VM can't help me with this because these accounts are not within her remit.
I'm not able to do this on my own. No idea how to go about it. Can someone please advise me on the details. As I've said before, nothing this 'simple' should be so complicated!
I need to edit the details on each account. I'm having no luck. I'm prepared to delete each account and then re-add the acccount to Virgin Media. What I need to know are the correct settings for the accounts, such as the IMAP and POP settings, port settings, etc. I know I'm a bit old for this type of thing (I'm 70), but I'm not stupid. This SHOULDN'T be a huge problem (but sadly for me, it is).
If someone was kind enough to help me with this I'd be very grateful. I'm just not computer-savvy enough to fiddle around with these accounts and I'd be very cautious about trying it on my own. I'd dearly love someone to help me out, if possible.
Thank you.
