Yes I am a virgin media broadband customer and have no issues with home webmail except the issue I posted above. I simply cannot send email from my hand set. That includes a new email or replying to an email received .
I get a "Sending Failed" no other notification or reason why.
'Sending Failed' - not the most helpful of error messages!
You've checked that webmail works OK which would indicate that the mailbox itself is intact and your credentials are correct. I'd next try setting it up using an email client on a PC or laptop - if this fails then hopefully it'll give some more useful information.
There's quite a few threads on here regarding email sending issues which appear to be related to over zealous spam checking which is triggering authentication denials.
Don't use webmail to test as that doesn't prove anything, we need to setup an email client (Outlook, Thunderbird etc.) with the same settings as you use on your phone. If these fail as well (and I'me going to bet they will), then the connection logs should give more information as to the exact cause - something that the email client on the phone doesn't do
