I can receive emails but I cannot send emails

When I send an email it says the username or password is incorrect even though I can login on an internet browser with the correct password. 
please can someone help me with this

It would be helpful to see what, if any, VM error code is returned by the SMTP server in this situation. Open a Command Shell or Terminal window and enter the following where username:password is replaced with your email address and password, i.e. richard.branson@virginmedia.com:Y54kpX5g:

curl -v smtps://smtp.virginmedia.com -u username:password 2>&1 | (where findstr && (findstr "235 VM") || (grep "235\|VM"))

Post the redacted results here.

@Nemomac 

  1.  If using Windows type CMD into the search bar and press enter.
  2. Highlight the whole text in @用心棒 post press right mouse button and select copy.
  3. Move the cursor into the black command window and press right click.  The text will automatically be pasted in.
  4. Change the username for your email address and the password for your password and then press enter.
  5. You should be presented with a line that looks similar to this.

    Highlight that line by dragging over it and then press enter.

  6. You can then use CTRL+V to paste the line into this thread:

< 535 5.7.8 Authentication Credentials Invalid (VM300)

Note:  We only want to see the highlighted line - I've not changed the username and password in the screenshot above as I am just using it as an example of what you should see.
