How to delete VM email account

Hi can someone help and point me in how to close/ delete my VM email account.  I set it up when I signed to VM but do not use it so would like the email account closed.  I don't see an option to close the account in the settings.

@cc1970 Is the email address concerned the one you use to sign into your primary My Virgin Media account when accessing online bills etc?

No its not the email I use to login to virgin media as that is completely different.  Duriing my signup process to virgin media I also setup a  @virginmedia.com email address and its just full of spam so would like to delete this email account/ close my @virginmedia.com email account.
