I’m still a customer, but never use the NTL World email. How do I delete it? It just contains 1000s of spam emails.

If it is your primary account used to log into your my virgin media account then it can't be deleted as it is embedded in their account access system.
If it is a secondary account you can delete it via the My Account tab when logged in with the primary account details.
If it is your primary address the mailbox should be deleted if you don't access it for 150 days.
