Forwarding e-mail stopped

Due to several months of problems with Virgin, including the password change fiasco, and the 403 forbidden (which I still have), I had set up email forwarding so I could access my inbox.

The forwarding has stopped as no new messages being received in the new email account I set up with another vendor (which was forvced on me in by Virgin's requirement to sign in with a non-Virgin e-mail I.D.) I can not get in to see why the forwarding has stopped. Any ideas, (as I can not get in until the 403 forbidden is solved)?

Please can someone just answer the generic question which follows, as I can not suffer 17 hours on the phone over five days again. Problem. I get 403 Forbidden on PC desktop Browser, BUT my  mobile app still works. I have changed my Virgin Media Password, but the problem persists. DO YOU THINK THAT CHANGING MY WORKING MOBILE APP PASSWORD WOULD HELP, even although my mobile still accesses. There is no other password I can change. I am loathe to try this, as I do not want to lose my mobile access.

Hi there @jimshaw2

Thank you for popping back to us here on the forums, to confirm, we would recommend using the generate app password via your online My Virgin Media account.

Thanks, but there is nothing wrong with my third party apps access, e.g. via my mobile. I  can not access via Desktop which is a different password. I can log on to my Virgin Media Account using my Virgin Media Password (which is all that should be needed)  specific password. I then go down to the e-mail link lower in the page, and when I click on that I get the Forbidden 403 message. I have changed the Virgin Media password and still get the Forbidden message. Are you saying that I can get access to e-mail on my Desktop via Virgin Media Account page if I change my perfectly functioning third part password? I am nervous to change something that is working, but if Virgin have designed things this badly, I shall give it a go dependent on your answer, but do not want to lose my mobile access. Cheers, Jim
