Adding a rule in VM webmail won't achieve the desired result, as rules are applied only to new mail arriving into the inbox.

The simplest way to get the emails into Outlook is to add the VM email account to Outlook using the IMAP settings.  This will sync the content of all the folders in VM webmail into the Outlook client.

After having a nose around in the web mail app, I don't think you can collect all the e-mails together in a folder and export that.

What you could try is creating a rule to send all e-mails received after a given date to a defined e-mail address:

Go to settings, then select filter rules, then add new rule.  You'll note that the new rule will be applied to all messages unless you add conditions to restrict the action.

Add an action to redirect mail to your outlook account, and Save and apply (Save and apply will action the rule to all email, not just that which arrives).

There is help available if you click on the top of the 'Create new rule' pane.

From the Help given in the app...

5.   To complete the creation, you can do the following

  • To apply the rule to future incoming E-Mail messages, click on Save.
  • To apply the new rule to future incoming E-Mail messages and to existing E-Mail messages, click on Save and apply. Select the folder containing the E-Mail messages to which the rule should be applied.

Note: Some actions cannot be executed if applying a rule to existing E-Mail messages.

That said, Graham's suggestion is certainly simpler...

Just has a bit of a tinker and the 'save and apply' button (which would provide retrospective application of the rule) has been removed.  Turns out the 'Help' isn't as helpful as it should be.

Use the suggestion given by Graham
