Hello again - I may be premature but I think Virgin is about to block my NTL email again.
Today, I've had an intermittent pop-up box showing the SMTP box, with asterixs (*) showing my password; the box pops up v quickly so cannot get all of the detail.
I know "coenoby" (a VIP) helped 'turn my email back on" when it was blocked as Virgin thought I had spam (nothing showed on my virus and malware checker). This was beg-October, a couple of weeks after the massive outage/data breach I believe.
Do I need to be concerned? Email is currently working but that pop-up SMTP box is very disconcerting and I cannot have any more errors as my email is vital for work and personal medical liaison.
Any potential help, gratefully received! Thanks in advance, Melody9

@melody9 I had a brief issue earlier this evening when an email initially wasn't sent due to an SMTP error. It resolved within seconds and the email was sent successfully. There have been a few other recent posts of a similar nature.
If I see more I will raise it with VM for investigation.

Aha, that's exactly what's been happening to me! I'm not sure why the VM IT/tech team isn't able to clarify why this is happening; is it only legacy accounts ie NTL, blue yonder etc; have they a really serious issue their end but as it's only legacy a/cs they aren't addressing it. Very disconcerting as I'm concerned that my email is about to be cancelled, yet again. Thanks Graham A for coming back to me though!
