Your email client should include an option to show external content; exception being if email is in Spam folder where external content is permanently blocked, if you trust the sender then moving the email to another folder should allow external content to be loaded.

We're sorry to hear of this issue with opening files from emails you've had, could you please let us know if you're using the MyVM App or browser to access your email account or is it via an email client software (such as Outlook)?
Also, can you check if this email is on the inbox or another file (spam/junk) and what format is the file you wish to check but cannot open currently?
