After yesterday's fiasco with emails, I wondered how soon it would happen again. Answer: today. I just want to speak to a real person who can tell me what to do. Is it too much to ask? I am not too well and this is soul destroying.
It seems that something is seriously wrong with the email system and it's letting too many people down.
Here's what you should do.
Start up a new email account with one of the big free providers - gmail, outlook, yahoo.
While the Virgin service is actually working, copy all your contacts and important messages across to the new account. Set up a forward to the new account.
Use the new account. You can tell people your new address, but in any case they will naturally start to reply to it.
Now you have a reliable email service, and you are no longer locked into Virgin if you ever want to change broadband suppliers.
