Since May 2022 Virgin Media no longer provide free email accounts to new customers.
If you want an email address you will need to create one with an email service provider such as Google or Microsoft. There are other ESPs available as well.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Please read the FAQs

Thanks Graham.I must have misunderstood the detail on emails for new customers.
I thought you got 1 email address with your account but could not add other addresses.

I've managed to reinstate an old virgin email I had when I was a customer a few years ago.
Can I now get access to a mail box to check incoming mails and also post from it?
I have added it to a mail client but would prefer a stand alone mail box for my Virgin addy?
I'm probably going to close my mail client as I will be ditching my BT mail address soon

@Bluelad1 An interesting development, as you may be aware VM email addresses are supposed to be deleted 90 days after ceasing to be a broadband customer. In many cases it seems that this doesn't happen.
Depending on the exact status of the old email account in VM's systems there is a very slim chance that they might be able to move it to your new account. The VM Forum Team should respond here in due course.
That said, why would you want to do that. You would be far better off using an email address that is totally independent of your broadband supplier.

Hi Bluelad1,
A warm welcome and thanks for posting on our community forums. We're sorry for any confusion caused over the email’s situation. Unfortunately, we stopped creating any email address for new customers back in May 2022.
As our valued member Graham_A has already advised, you will now have to create an alternative email.
With regards to reinstating your email address from a few years ago, we can take a look to see if we can transfer this across to your new account, however we do have to advise this may not be possible.
I will pop you over a private message to take some details from you, please click on the purple envelope to accept the chat.
Kind regards Jodi.

Hi Bluelad1,
Thanks for the private message. Just a quick note to say we have no raised this with our IT team to see if there is any possibility that we're able to transfers your old email address across to your new Virgin Media account for you.
I will post back once we have an update for you, however we do have to advise there are no guarantees this will work.
Thanks for your patience with this matter.
Kind regards Jodi.

My devices have stopped receiving emails though broadband is still working. I’ve switched the devices & wifi hub off and on without email returning. What should I try next?

Hi Martin14,
Thanks for posting, sorry to hear you're having some issues with the email.
Can you confirm if you're accessing this via webmail or using an email client?

Don't use Gmail or Micro$oft they read and harvest you email data.
Get an independent one like protonmail.com, they have a free and paid service and do encrypted email and they read your emails.
